Fire, Storm, Wind and Hail Damage Restoration in Northwest Arkansas
Iron Shield boards up the opening, repairs the roof and the structure, cleans up smoke and water, and helps with the insurance claim.
Chapter 01
What Hail Damage and fire leave behind that is easy to miss
Hail rarely leaves a hole. It bruises the mat under the granules, creases shingles and knocks loose the seal on a tab, and from the lawn the roof can look fine. Wind lifts tabs and lets the next rain in under them. Either one opens the top of the path of water, and everything below it stays wet until someone closes it.
Fire is the same story in a different material. Soot and odor settle into drywall, insulation and fabric far from where the flames were, and the water used to put the fire out soaks the floors and walls beneath.
The visible damage is usually the smaller half of the job. The rest is hidden in the decking, the framing and the rooms below.

What Iron Shield does after a storm or a fire
The work starts with emergency response and board-up, so the opening is closed before more water comes through it. Next comes a damage assessment that looks for both the visible and the hidden damage, on the roof and inside.
From there the repairs run in the order the water traveled: roof repair and replacement, then structural repairs and remodeling, from a small fix to a full rebuild when the damage calls for it.
Inside, the team handles smoke, soot and odor removal, water damage mitigation, and content cleaning for belongings that can be saved. Debris removal and site cleanup follow, along with Insurance Claim Assistance for the paperwork that runs beside all of it.
Chapter 03
Working alongside the claim
An insurance claim and a repair job run at the same time, and each one helps the other.
Photos taken before anything is moved show the adjuster what actually happened, and a written estimate from the repair team shows what it takes to put it right.
Coverage depends on your own policy, so contact your insurer early and ask what it includes. Iron Shield helps homeowners document the damage and work through the claim, and two recent Google reviewers describe being guided through one to a replacement roof.
Billy Swanson, Google review: “He helped us with the claim.”

After the storm
Three steps, in this order.
Once everyone is safe, document the damage with photos. Then contact your insurance company. Then call a licensed restoration team, because quick action keeps a broken window or a roof opening from turning into water damage inside.
A new roof after a claim is a residential roofing job, and any water that got inside is handled through water damage mitigation.
Questions after a storm
Does homeowners insurance cover hail and wind damage?
That depends on your own policy, so contact your insurance company right after the storm and ask. Iron Shield can help you document the damage and work through the claim.
Can you repair the roof and the damage inside?
Yes. Iron Shield handles roof repair and replacement, structural repairs, water damage mitigation, and smoke, soot and odor removal, so one company follows the damage from the shingles to the rooms below.
I cannot see any damage from the ground. Should I still have the roof looked at?
Yes. Hail bruising and lifted tabs are hard to see from the lawn, and a small opening can let water in for months. An inspection finds it, and estimates are free.
